Dale Hill Course Score Card
Hole 1 - Par 4
An acute dog-leg gives the longer hitters the chance to take the corner on to make this a short Par 4.
Alternatively, play your tee shot to the left to give you a shot in over the two deep bunkers at the front of the green.
Hole 2 - Par 3
A tought and long Par 3, the tee shot demands an accurate shot into this fairly large green.
Get off this hole with a 3 and you have done well.
Hole 3 - Par 4
A straightforward drive of around 200 yards, giving you a second shot uphill to a two-tier green.
Make sure you get your ball on the correct level to give yourself a chance for a birdie.
Hole 4 - Par 5
A great birdie chance at this short Par 5.
Long hitters can take the corner on making the hole an easy two shotter.
Hole 5 - Par 4
A slight dog-leg uphill, a tought hole. Your drive should favour the left side of the fairway to take out of play the trees on the right.
Your second shot always plays a little longer up the hill, so take an extra club.
Hole 6 - Par 4
An ideal tee shot would favour the left side of the fairway to help open up the green for your second.
The green is fairly flat and, provided you find it in two, gives you a good chance for birdie.
Hole 7 - Par 3
A pretty, downhill Par 3 though somewhat daunting.
Aim left - dont't go right!!!
Hole 8 - Par 5
A true three shot Par 5, which demands your full concentration.
Avoid the Out of Bounds that runs up the right side of the hole. It's all uphill and always plays longer than it looks.
Hole 9 - Par 3
An easy looking Par3, but make sure you take enough club if the pin is at the back of the green.
Sometimes it looks a little deceiving!
Hole 10 - Par 4
A potential birdie chance here.
Leave the driver in your bag and give yourself a pitch into the green. Don't leave yourself too far in though, as there is a water hazard waiting for you short of the green!
Hole 11 - Par 4
Not a long hole and the fact that it's a blind hole, driver may not be the best club for your tee shot.
A traight drive will leave you a nice view of the green, where you can be bold and pitch it all the way, or try running your shot in.
Hole 12 - Par 4
One of the hardest holes on the golf course!
An ideal drive will be placed up the right hand side, with the long approach played into the centre of the green.
A 4 here any day is a great score!
Hole 13 - Par 4
Off the forward tees, a brave longer hitter could well reach, but is it really worth it?
A well positioned drive leaves you a short pitch into this small green.
Hole 14 - Par 4
It is important to get a good tee shot away here, aiming for the marker post.
With your second shot, aim for the left side of the green - do not go right!
Hole 15 - Par 3
A picturesque Par 3, but the centre of the green is the only place to aim for.
Make your 3 and get to the 16th!
Hole 16 - Par 4
A testing Par 4 - long, uphill and a dog-leg.
A good drive will leave you with a long second, but be aware that it always plays longer than it looks.
Hole 17 - Par 3
A short but tricky Par 3, as the green is very small.
Short is safer place than long here.
Hole 18 - Par 4
With views over the impressive Hotel and Clubhouse, the 18th offers the final chance of a birdie.
A long drive should be hit over the bunkers on the left, but the safer option is to keep right.
A fairly flat green when you get there.
