Access - a 7-Day Membership from £600*

Access is a type of introductory membership designed to encourage new golfers to make the decision to join Dale Hill as a 7-day member. It helps the decision making process by allowing new members to 'test the water' before 'taking the plunge'.

Many potential members see the fear of the unknown in joining a new club and parting with a large initial payment as the two biggest barriers to joining a golf club, Access breaks down these barriers.

  • It is an introductory membership leading only to full 7-day membership of a Leaderboard Golf Club. (See below) Access Membership can run for up to 12 months. When completed, the same person cannot undertake Access membership again.

Access - how does it work?

Membership is taken out at a Leaderboard Golf Club, for example Dale Hill. This club will from then on be known as the ‘home’ club of that Access Member.

The member will buy an Access 600 (£600) which will give the member 600 points. (there is a additional £50.00 administration fee)

Each time an Access Member plays golf at his or her ‘home’ course, an amount of points are deducted from their account. The number of points deducted is based on weekend or weekday golf in or out of season. Different days and seasons will cost the golfer a different number of points. (See appendix B).

If an Access Member chooses to play at another Leaderboard course, the booking must be made at the home course and the member will receive special green fees at the away course.

Access Members can top up points at any time in quantities of 100 (£100), 200 (£200), 300 (£300) and 400 (£400).

At the end of a 6-month period, the Access Member will be asked to join as a full 7-day member. If they choose to do so, only golf purchased and used by the access member during the 6 months, up to a maximum of £700, will be offset against their joining fee. If they choose to join between 6 and 12 months then only 50% of the golf purchased will be offset against the joining fee. (Guest golf not included in the 12 months)

No unused points will be refunded, at the end of the year; the Access Member must then join as a 5-day or 7-day member or decline membership of Dale Hill.

What do Access Members get?

The new Access member will have 7-Day members playing rights.

  • He or she will receive EGU affiliation and be allowed to obtain a golfing handicap
  • The member will be allowed to enter all Dale Hill medals and stableford competitions
  • The Access Member will be allowed full use of all Dale Hill Hotel Leisure Facilities
  • Full membership access to all social events
  • Bring up to 3 guests at the Access Members’ rate

Why is it different?

  • Flexibility like no other membership at no other club
  • Access allows you to be sure before making the important decision of which club to be part of
  • Access will offset your first year membership fees against your joining fee, you can "play your joining fee"
  • Initial costs are governed by how often you play golf

What does it cost?

  • Access Membership for Dale Hill is £600
  • £600 will give 600 points
  • A non-refundable fee of £50 is required to cover administration and affiliation fees
  • There are no additional charges apart from occasional competition entry fees
