Biography
Mark Wood, PGA Advanced Professional
Renowned golf coach Mark Wood is to host one-day residential schools at Dale Hill Hotel & Golf Club.
Mark has been coaching for more than 14 years and is a contributing instructor to the popular Play Better Golf magazine. He is regularly seen at coaching summits with the world's best, including Butch Harmon and Colin Montgomerie's coach, Dennis Pugh, and is regarded as an excellent communicator of ideas and techniques.
Now Mark's experience is to be made available to the general golfing public at the four-star Dale Hill, which offers breathtaking views across the high weald ridges and valleys of East Sussex.
The residential school includes one night's bed and breakfast, and four hours of coaching throughout the day.
Mark said: "The coaching will include the use of some of the most advanced teaching tools available, including the Explanar - which is used by Butch Harmon - and cSwing computer analysis.
"And there will be no more than six people in each teaching group meaning each individual can maximise the benefit of the coaching.
"I've always used simple terminology and fun teaching techniques that allow me to gain my students' trust, resulting in high achievement and accomplishment. These techniques can be applied to both the complete novice and those looking for game improvement.
"Allied to the opportunity to stay and be coached in such a delightful venue this all makes the package hugely attractive in my view."
Dale Hill Hotel & Golf Club has been voted the fourth-best golf break destination in Britain by Golf Monthly. It has two first-class courses - one designed by former Masters champion and Ryder Cup captain Ian Woosnam - 35 bedrooms, an indoor heated pool and gymnasium, the Wealden View Restaurant and Spike Bar.
