With the end of February now here it’s great news: THE CLUB DIARIES ARE HERE!!! I can only say that we are sorry for the delay but it was nothing to do with Dale Hill, it was the printing company.
I would like to make you aware of two things that are coming up.
1. Yonex Demo Day
This will be on SATURDAY MARCH 20th – between 11.00 and 3.00. This is a fantastic opportunity to try the latest equipment from one of the leading brands with no obligation to buy. Test your current clubs against the new Yonex range and see how they perform. Anyone ordering or purchasing Yonex clubs on the day will receive a 10% reduction in price.
If you wish to have a free fitting with the Yonex technician then please book your appointment in the Pro Shop or click here. He can custom fit you to your requirements, at no cost. Please feel free to come along to the Demo Day. Anyone trying Yonex clubs on the day will go into a prize draw for a dozen golf balls of their choice.
2. Sport Relief Charity Pro-Am 17th March
In aid of sport relief we are holding a charity Pro-Am. The format of the day will be teams of 3 amateurs with a professional – professionals will be provided by Dale Hill and drawn for on the day of the competition. The day will start with coffee and bacon rolls, 18 holes on the Ian Woosnam course with a professional, and a 3 course meal to follow with auction and raffle. There is a hope that there will be some after dinner speeches.
All money raised goes to Sport Relief; we need your support. Team entry is £180 so please if you feel you can put a team in please contact myself by clicking here, or Sonia in the golf office on 01580 201800.
A Message from MARK WOOD - Head Teaching Professional
Now the golf season is fast approaching I hope that you have been able to get out and play between the two dumps of snow that we have had recently.
I am starting to get busier giving lessons. Do you want to get your game sorted out this year? Come and see me to make a plan for the season.
Personal Development Plan
I am going to be offering a personal development programme throughout 2010, where I will collate stats from each and every round of golf played which include – greens in regulation, fairways in regulation, sand saves, putting average, stroke average etc. I will not be charging for this service, just adding value to the service that I already provide. If you are keen to join the programme then please drop me an email at markwood.golf@virgin.net.
This will be a great way to quickly identify the weak areas of your game so we can therefore work hard within these areas to improve your golf and reach your set goals.
Lesson Offer
I am offering a series of 3 one-hour short game lessons over this winter period. The cost of the lessons is normally £120.00 and I have reduced it to £90.00. I am running this offer until the end of March 2010. If you are interested, click here to contact me.
Indoor Swing Studio
I am so pleased that I have an indoor swing and putting studio especially as the weather can be quite cold during these winter months. Feedback from clients using the facilities is very positive. It provides a great experience whatever the weather and there are plenty of teaching aids to guide you through your lessons including C-Swing Video Analysis, Tomi putt and NMS Swing trainer and the Explanar; all providing you with the tools to improve your game.
Ladies’ Group Lessons
I run a group ladies’ session every Thursday at 11.00am to 12.00pm. These sessions are open to any ladies who would like to improve their golf and have some fun while doing so in a pleasant group environment, so please come and join us. It costs just £6.00 per session.
Tams – Seniors’ Roll up
The Wednesday session is now back under way and a few of you are benefiting from the weekly session that I run. The reports back from those of you that are attending is that games are improving and therefore handicaps are improving – great news! For any Tams or Seniors who have not yet attended these sessions please note the following details:
Wednesday’s sessions are 10.00am to 11.00am – with Mark PGA Advanced Professional and Assistant Craig Howell.
The sessions are run weekly and the cost is just £5.00 per session.
Please come and join us and improve your golf.
