Well the start of the season is here, or so I have been told due to the Masters Starting this weekend. So who was your money on, did you pick the winner???
Congratulations go to Ron Strevens, Mike Gibbs, Colin Bennett and Mick Ray for winning the men’s section of the Easter Texas Scramble.
To Sue Kench, John Miller, Andy Marshall and Maureen Hopewatts for winning the mixed section, and to Andy Novis, Lyne Novis, Mick Sheppard and B. Jackson for winning the 3 men and 1 lady section.

You may now be aware that in an effort to help people get on the golf course at weekends we have opened the tee times up from 7.30 at weekends only, this will move to 7.16 in May, the shop will now be open from 7.00 at weekends, please be aware of the new start times for when you book the following weeks times.
YOUR COUNTY CARD IS NOW IN THE PRO SHOP, PLEASE COLLECT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Congratulations goes to Rosie Hockey, for winning the manager of the month in the Captain Charity fantasy golf league, not only does she win everything on the course she started clearing up in fantasy golf now, well done Rosie.
Just on a quick note about the Captains Charity, the CAPTAIN-PRO list is now up and we are looking for challengers. Please if you have not taken us on before then please do this year, it’s a fun event, quick format, the money goes to charity. Please support your captain and play in a captain pro match. We played our first match last Thursday and narrowly got a win so if you think you can do better come take us on.

Spring is here and the clocks have gone forward which is now going to more time to enjoy a golf lesson after work, my coaching hours are from 8.00am to 8.00pm Tuesday to Saturday. If you would like to book a lesson please contact the Pro Shop or email me.
Individual lessons
The “Six lessons for the price of five offer"; continues on individual lessons throughout 2010 so pop into the Pro Shop to book up your next batch. Don’t forget that the indoor swing and putting studio has been well used over the last couple of weeks and the feedback from clients has been great. It provides a great experience whatever the weather and there are plenty of teaching aids to guide you through your lessons including video analysis, putt and NMS Swing trainer.

Ladies group lessons
I run a group ladies session every Thursday at 11.00am to 12.00pm, these sessions are open to any ladies who would like to improve their golf and have some fun while doing so in a pleasant group environment, so please come and join us it costs just £6.00 per session.
Weekly Golf Tip: Good solid Chipping
When playing these shots make sure you keep a firm left wrist and accelerate the club through the ball.
I would like to also say BIG Congratulations to one of my students, Laird Shepherd, who has just been picked to play for the Sussex Under 13’s well done Lairdy. I now have 4 players playing for Sussex and 3 players for Kent.
