Dale Hill Pro Newsletter - 10th June 2010
Well done to all the boys that played in the March Cup on Sunday, there were a very impressive 15 twos had out there on the Woosnam, which made the score very impressive too. Winning the best gross with a score of 77 was Ray Akehurst, the best nett score was Mike Shepherd who is still smiling today with a fantastic nett score of 64.
A quick reminder about knockouts - they need to be played by the cut off dates, as there are no extensions given. If you are not yet up to speed with the Intelligent Golf system you can still call the shop for details of your opponents.

Mark Wood Golf Academy
New Camera at the Academy
I have just recently brought a new camera which is outstanding. A normal video camera will record at 20 -25 frames per second, my new camera however will record up to 1000 frames per second. It is just the same as what the European and PGA Tours use on their TV footage when they show you the swings of players in a slow mo fashion. The feedback from clients about the new camera is amazing; book a lesson by clicking here and see for yourself.
Juniors – Golf Camps, Birthday Parties, Roll Up sessions
We are running junior golf camps throughout the school holidays during 2010. The cost of the week long camps is £95.00 per child for the entire week which includes lunch and a goody bag.
So if you would like your little angels to improve their golfing skills on one of our week-long golf camps then please contact me for more details. markwood.golf@virgin.net
Last year quite a few parents asked me if I did junior golf birthday parties, which I do. The parties are completely tailored to your requirements so if you would like a tailored quote please contact me.
The Saturday and Sunday Junior Roll up sessions are a great way to introduce kids to golf, the environment is fun and relaxed and the kids will learn how to play and develop their golfing skills at our weekly sessions. We would love to have more kids attending so if you know of any budding superstars, please send them our way.
Mark Wood runs a Roll Up – 1.00pm to 2.00pm every Saturday.
Craig Howell runs Roll Ups – 10.00am to 11.00am and 11.00am to 12.00pm every Sunday.

Tip of the Week
The Nerve-Racking 40-Yard Pitch Shot
The most common faults amateurs have when hitting this shot are a long backswing and letting the club decelerate through impact. Don't you make the same mistakes. When facing this type of pitch shot, make a compact backswing and hit through with authority.
Regards,
John
